Is that the same Pendegrast? It shows T as the initial. I searched for Robert Pendegrast and found these links which match the location cited above (August, GA). Middle name Allison. https://www.augustahealth.org/find-a-doctor/find-a-doctor?id=293 https://www.vitals.com/doctors/Dr_Robert_Pendergrast.html
Think you're right, doesn't look like the same and the other article only cited the one I mixed up. Nevermind, brain fart.
We understand. Meanwhile I found these links about Pendergrast and I am NOT encouraged. https://www.augusta.edu/faculty/directory/view.php?id=RPENDERG https://www.wjbf.com/news/aiken-augusta-holistic-health-offers-integrative-medicine-approach/ https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/pendergrastmd http://www.aikenaugustaholistichealth.com/augusta-doctors.htm Who developed this webinar and arranged for continuing ed credits?
This is what came to mind when you said that: (sorry for offtopic) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IU33yoC114E
Hopefully, Pendergrast's views on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome have improved since 2008. July 2008 Health Letter-Energy Crisis https://www.aikenaugustaholistichealth.com/july-2008-health-letter-energy-crisis/ Following "conventional medical tests to exclude the possibility of serious disease", he recommends herbs, lifestyle changes, sleep hygiene and breathing exercises for the "virtual disability" of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Join adolescent medicine specialist Dr. Robert Pendergast and MCG pediatric resident Dr. James Davis as they discuss Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). What is ME/CFS?How to make the diagnosis? What comorbid conditions need to be considered? How do we help patients with this uncommon but debilitating condition? https://www.stitcher.com/show/the-m...alomyelitis-chronic-fatigue-syndrome-71040966
This looks like it's a different occasion but the same doctor on the same topic. It's a 30 minute podcast. It's OK, goes through diagnosis with the IOM definition, and other common symptoms, and differential diagnosis and comorbidities, levels of severity, duration, and activity management based on avoiding PEM and push/crash cycles, and symptomatic treatments. Goes a bit off the rails with sleep hygiene and acupuncture, but the rest was fairly sensible, including using activity monitoring. Didn't mention very severe ME, though did say some are bedbound.
