Warnings against dangerous Miracle Mineral Solution (bleach, chlorine dioxide)

There is someone on the other board who promote this for use with autism. He says he administers “a few drops”. It takes all the restraint I can muster not to call him out on it every time I see his grinning icon in a post.

I've seen the video of children fed this in Africa screaming. It's horrifying.

UK: The Times: Clinic ‘advises bleach to cure autism’

A private clinic could face an investigation after it recommended using bleach to treat autistic children.

Julia Chaplin, who runs the Healthcare Clinic in East Preston, West Sussex, told an undercover reporter how to use chlorine dioxide, also known as industrial bleach.

MMS has been promoted under different names, such as "Miracle Mineral Supplement" and "Master Mineral Solution." These products have been promoted as treatments for a range of health ailments, including serious conditions such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, childhood autism and COVID-19.

Sodium chlorite is a chemical used mainly as a textile bleaching agent and disinfectant. Ingesting sodium chlorite can cause poisoning, kidney failure and harm to red blood cells that reduces the ability of the blood to carry oxygen, among other effects. It can also cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Chlorine dioxide is typically used as a disinfectant or bleaching agent. It is toxic and corrosive and definitely not meant for human consumption. If any doctor is promoting this as a treatment for any disease they should be struck off.

It would appear she is recommending it for internal consumption, albeit very diluted. It is suggested this has anti-fungal properties.

I remember some thirty years ago when over growth of candida was blamed for pretty much everything. I thought this had gone out of fashion.

I agree. I think Myhill is already off the doctors' register, and now practises as a naturopath. In any case she should be told to stop using it.
