    Weekly collapses

Hi.. :) So the last two months have been really rough for me, after doing gradual exercise for some months. I made a post about it a while back. Since then ive been having problems e.g making dinner some days due to low functioning, but the biggest fork in the road right now is that I keep...

    Induced coma

Yeah, in the intensive care unit mom was in there was always one nurse assigned to her doing these things. You cant just leave people in an induced coma and take a stroll :D

    Induced coma

My mother was in a induced coma (shes fine now btw), and after seeing all the human resources that took at the hospital, I can`t imagine this being economically viable for 99 perc outside of studies (which would be hard get ethical approval for probably)

    Spinal MRI results

Hey! Wondered if anyone knew what these results mean, and if it can or can not have any relevance to ME. Only included what was presumably abnormal -Dehydrated discus intervertebralis C5/C6 and C6/C7 -in C7/TH1 there is subtotal vertebral fusion -Mild degeneration in discus invertebralis L5/S1...

    Sci-hub blocked in Sweden

So much this! I don't like to plant a straw-man, but a lot of the times when im arguing with doctors supporting PACE or other bad psychosomatic studies; I get the feeling that they haven't even read the publication, and rather argue based on prejudice, or to save face. Look, ME-research is a...

    Sci-hub blocked in Sweden

It has become clear to me that scientific papers should not be behind a paywall, after all the misused conclusions i have seen e.g with ME. The authors and publishers should rather get their income from tax money in my opinion, but then with a stricter review before publications. PS: I`don`t...

Cochrane Review: 'Exercise therapy for chronic fatigue syndrome' 2017, Larun et al. - Recent developments, 2018-19

Thats right, although sometimes there is so much information of personal/confidential character that the whole document can be withheld. This has happened a couple of times when i have applied for a document, but is a clear exception to the rule and u have the right to appeal

Cochrane Review: 'Exercise therapy for chronic fatigue syndrome' 2017, Larun et al. - Recent developments, 2018-19

Just read the e-mails and i am thoroughly flabbergasted. As someone who has multiple bad crashes due to gradual exercise, it really infuriates me that they are trying to push trough the review unchanged having removed all objective outcomes that shows there is no effect. This sentence from Atle...

Red-brown speckles on palm of hands and fingers

Oh.There should be an option to scroll if you hover over the picture with ur mouse? Doesnt matter too much i guess, the other picture was just of the petachiae on my biceps one day, and one where the red area is less glowy. I tried uploading the pics here directly but they were too large...

Are there symptoms you had in the early stages of ME that you no longer get?

For 6 months i occasionally got a sudden pressure-feeling in my head, that has not happened since. I also woke up a lot after falling asleep and it felt like my veins were pulsating, i dont know how else to describe it:P other than that all symptoms have been remarkably consistent, and correlate...

Red-brown speckles on palm of hands and fingers

Wow i cant believe i finally found someone with similar issues, but it makes sense its from someone with the same disease! I showed the following to a dermatologist, but she had no idea what it was, and said we would not find out via biopsy either. The big red area has been there for like 3...

Suggested Pathology of Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease [...] (2019) Bohne

I can attest to this, i tested at the hospital with a level between 2.5-3 mmo/l and did not feel any more different than normal. I think it`s a starter though, because it`s not supposed to be that high without doing anything. Fluge&Mella had several patients who had 8 mmol/l when standing up...

Suggested Pathology of Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease [...] (2019) Bohne

I know people I trust who has had a strong response, but as we know from experience we need the research. At the moment they weren't allowed by the regional ethics committee to publish the data after they were collected, mainly by the argument that the study was unethical. To be honest, I think...

Suggested Pathology of Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease [...] (2019) Bohne

Thanks for the links @wigglethemouse, I read through it but don`t have the education for assessing how energy metabolism works besides basics.. Hopefully someone who do can chime in on the hypothesis!

    Panic attacks or crashes?

Hi Milo! Ive had a holter monitor 4 years ago, which showed tachycardia when jogging for over 10 minutes. My heart is however mechanically healthy on echocardiogram, and all EKGs have been fine. It has not acted abnormally under these episodes either (e.g i actually felt the tachcardia when...
