How to follow up on the Carol Monaghan debate in Westminster

Apologies before I start. Am in a full flare. Sasha's question was asked in the context of @Indigophoton's statement that we need to push for a full debate. I shall be taking this to my MP. Have written him a holding email ( couple of sentences) today saying that I think the debate gave us a...

Tues 20 Feb | UK parliamentary debate: PACE trial and its effect on people with ME - Carol Monaghan, MP

Thank you Russell. Now watched but I found the format difficult when trying to identify points that would be useful to take forward. Some were obvious ( Nicky Morgan) but others will need further review, having got lost in the shuffling. My brain fog is particularly bad. I think Carol Monaghan...

Tues 20 Feb | UK parliamentary debate: PACE trial and its effect on people with ME - Carol Monaghan, MP

Is there a recording of the debate anywhere? Very disappointed to miss it but my worsening sleep schedule put me to sleep at 10 to 7 this morning, and it was over when I woke. Your reports sound good......I could do with some good news.

UK: Short, simple letter to your MP to ask them to attend the Carol Monaghan PACE debate on 20 Feb

Can you get him to commit to writing to Jeremy Hunt about issues you choose to highlight after tomorrow's debate? My MP has suggested I read the debate in Hansard and write to him to pick up any issues I think need taking further or challenging.

I saw a letter from Jeremy Hunt in response to a letter sent to him saying he would be unable to attend due to diary commitments.

UK: Short, simple letter to your MP to ask them to attend the Carol Monaghan PACE debate on 20 Feb

Have written to my MP who is unable to attend. He is sympathetic however and has advised me to follow up with him depending on what comes out of the debate which I will do. Good advice on how to use the Parliamentary process to address issues that were not raised, reinforce any positives that...

Call to Action: Westminster Hall (UK) (parliamentary) debate: PACE trial and its effect on people with ME - Carol Monaghan February 20

Can I just put a reminder here that the advice I got from my MP (who I asked to attend but can't) has caused me to think of working in another direction, see earlier for full advice page 6. Obviously Carol needs to be fully briefed and am sure we and she are working hard on this. It is not the...

Call to Action: Westminster Hall (UK) (parliamentary) debate: PACE trial and its effect on people with ME - Carol Monaghan February 20

I have not been able to read the whole thread yet but wanted to insert here advice from our MP. We have worked with him before and approached him to invite him to next week's debate but he is unable to be there although he did attend Unrest. He has however expressed an interest in being...

    PACE trial data

" It said that SPSS and Stata software is required "(point 12) Is QMUL saying that they don't have this software in the University? Absolutely agree with @Liv aka Mrs Sowester.

Thank you @Indigophoton. Think I fit the era of drawers and keys better.

    PACE trial data

"QMUL has explained that the Chief Investigator of the PACE trial retired from QMUL on 31 December 2016. While QMUL remains the holder and owner of the raw data from this clinical trial, it has effectively lost the means to locate and extract it because this requires specialist knowledge. There...

    Blood clotting disorders and ME

@Liv aka Mrs Sowester and @ukxmrv thank you for your description of your experiences . I need to do loads more reading. Am surprised I've not come across Berg's protocol before. Also I usually have low O2. It was 92% when I was in hospital last week. I think there may be a thread here from...

My letter to the CDC concerning Kaiser Permanente still recommending GET

I visited the dentist yesterday and had some retained roots removed. I had to sign an A4 sized consent form listing all possible " risks" ( that was the word used), and how frequently they occurred e.g. Rarely, very uncommon, small risk etc. I was given a copy to take home with me. While it is...

    Blood clotting disorders and ME

Thanks @Mij Obviously great care is needed. Absolutely no one has suggested that my coagulation status may have something to do with ME. I need to read the articles carefully. I think I saw somewhere that 75% of pwme ( need to check this) had an acquired or genetic coag issue. I had heavy...
