UK Parliamentary debate today - Thursday 24th January 2019

I wonder if it would be useful to ask the 27 members who spoke whether they are surprised that the BBC and national media have failed to report the debate? They must be familiar with the level of reporting that comparable debates get, and it might help the penny drop for when the debate moves on...

I'm mild and I'm living half a life. I'd love to know who the people are who don't have to adapt their lifestyles. I think I do know.

I hope so. The other possibility is that PACE has served as the stepping stone they wanted, they have now forged alliances for bigger and better schemes, and no longer need to defend PACE tooth and nail, and in fact are now too busy with their greater plans to bother.

Petition: Review treatment of people with ME in Scotland

Is it just me or is AfME doing more harm than good, just as they always have done? It's getting very frustrating that again and again, just when we get the ears of the right people, AfME get in there and give them the wrong information, harmful to PwME, and pick up large amounts of money for...

Open letter to the Trustees and Staff of Action for ME about the 'Toolkit for professionals'

That line is starting to look like a bit of ubiquitous fluff which Drs, therapists and anyone else who reads it skims over on their way to get to the meat of whatever it is they're reading. "Yeah yeah, but where does it say what I actually have to do ...". I certainly glaze over whenever I read...

UK Parliamentary debate today - Thursday 24th January 2019

If the SMC put out their usual spin this time, every MP who was in the chamber or watches the debate will clearly see them for what they are. The SMC will probably continue until they are calling everyone else in the world a liar, but the number of people involved and likely to think "Hang on a...

Open letter to the Trustees and Staff of Action for ME about the 'Toolkit for professionals'

At my self-help group we regularly have new members who want to know how to continue to work, how to get better and be able to do more. It's what we all wanted at the beginning. Being confronted by the hard facts of this illness (it's not going to get better and you need to cut down your...
