Building a Safer Future for All
Supporting, informing and advocating for Clinically Vulnerable households across the UK since 2020.Our mission
To support, inform and advocate for those in Clinically Vulnerable households as they navigate the ongoing health risks that infectious illness poses to their health, education and everyday lives.Clinically Vulnerable Families supports people across the UK who are Clinically Vulnerable, formerly classed as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable, or immunocompromised – and everyone who lives alongside them. We advocate for the everyday protections, from clean air to accessible voting, that let Clinically Vulnerable people live full and equal lives.
Our focus areas
- Voting Accessibility
Our evidence changed Electoral Commission guidance: polling stations are now advised to provide masks, ventilation and air filtration. We’re auditing every election to check it’s working.
- Clean Air
Clean indoor air is now recognised in statutory school guidance as a core asthma control measure – a direct result of the evidence our members shared.
- Schools & Attendance
We’re gathering experiences from parents and carers about how 100% school attendance expectations affect Clinically Vulnerable children’s wellbeing and health.
- UK Covid-19 Inquiry
We have been a Core Participant in the Inquiry, giving evidence on behalf of our members and pressing for legal protection for Clinically Vulnerable people.
- Reports
Our reports are built from surveys, audits and the lived experience of our community, and go to decision-makers, regulators and Parliament.
