"Share your voice. Shape the future of neurology in Europe.
To celebrate 25 years of the European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA) leading patient advocacy in neurology across Europe, EFNA is launching the BrainTalks Competition 2026.
We are inviting patients, caregivers, and patient advocates from across the neurological community to share their ideas, experiences, and vision for the future of neurology.
Participants are invited to submit a three-minute video presentation on one of the following thematic areas:
Patient empowerment and advocacy
Innovations in research, treatment, and care
AI, data, and digital solutions for neurology
Equity and access to neurological services
Intersectoral collaboration for neurology
Policy and the future of neurology in Europe
Submissions should present a compelling TEDx-style “BrainTalk” — an idea, story, or perspective that could inspire change in neurology, brain health, or patient advocacy.
What happens next?
Our panel will select the most inspiring submissions. Winning participants will be invited to deliver their BrainTalk live at the EFNA Conference 2026 - 'Neurology & Society', taking place 25–26 September in Dublin, Ireland.
Winners will receive:
• Free registration for both days of the EFNA Conference
• Flights and accommodation covered
• The opportunity to present a TEDx-style BrainTalk to a European audience of patient leaders, policymakers, clinicians, researchers, and industry representatives
Key Dates:
• Competition opens: 19 March 2026
• Submission deadline: 18 May 2026
• Winners announced: 2 June 2026
How to enter:
Submit your BrainTalk pitch to conference[at]efna.net, with the subject line ‘BrainTalks Competition’, by 18 May, 2026.
This is your opportunity to bring forward bold ideas, lived experiences, and new perspectives that can help shape the future of neurology and brain health in Europe.
We look forward to hearing your BrainTalk!"

For 25 years, the European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA) has championed the rights and needs of people living with neurological disorders across Europe. As the burden of neurological conditions continues to rise, there is an urgent need for collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking approaches to policy, care, and research.
In response, EFNA is proud to announce its inaugural EFNA Conference in September 2026, coinciding with Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This landmark event will serve as a platform to bring together neurology...
