    A "first principle" that goes about as long as in a typical Star Trek episode.

    "Oh noes, we can't possibly intervene in this society", proceeds to intervene a whole lot because, you know, circumstances. Hmm.

    I think some people still do (its still used)- just not pregnant women.

    Rather like the way many people still find exercise helpful ... just not pwME.

    And thalidomide is prescribed with all sorts of safeguards and caveats.

    If someone is recovering from ME, a safe exercise program could be very useful to strengthen muscles. Workwell are trying to find safe ways in which severe ME patients can avoid contractures and muscle wasting.

    The thing is that it must be done with a full knowledge of ME problems.
