not very well written (a couple of half-quotes that don't make much sense).A woman who suffers from a crippling rare illness which has made her almost completely bedbound for two years has spoken of her struggle.
KT King, 46, and a novelist, was finally diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) in 2014 after suffering with the condition for 25 years and being repeatedly told it "was all in her head".
The housebound writer says the "utter exhaustion" of the condition left her crippled every time she even got up to use the toilet. She says she could barely move out of the sanctuary of her bed for 20 hours a day between 2014 and 2016 after finally being diagnosed.
KT, of Hessle, says the worst part of ME, a long-term condition that causes debilitating symptoms affecting the nervous and immune system, that she "wasn't believed".
Also, although it initially says a 'crippling rare illness', at the end it gives the 250,000 UK and 17m figure worldwide........'rare'??
there is also an instant poll to identify if readers are ME sufferers/know someone with ME, or not.
(I think KT King the subject of the piece might have featured in another article re her book, can't find the thread).
