Norwegian Fluge & Mella daratumumab Haukeland trial 'ResetME' now accepting international donations

The Norwegian ME Association's fundraiser ME-fondet has donated 4 million NOK (296 161 GBP - 397 504 USD) to the Daratumumab study. That's 8 million NOK in total from the fundraiser to the study thanks to the effort from many!

In a news update from the ME Association today, it's estimated that 3 500 000 NOK (259 141 GBP - 347 816 USD) is still lacking, and the ME-fondet will work to get the study fully funded within the year.

Half of the participants have been recruited and half of the recruited have received their first infusion with Daratumumab or placebo.

The research team is also running a pilot study on severe ME-pasients and have expanded it with five more participants.

Influencer Sarah Emilie with the clothes fashion brand Careless has donated 1.7 million NOK to the ResetME study.

1.7 million NOK is 171 768 USD and 130 568 GBP

Announcement on Facebook (in Norwegian)

ETA: They say it's to ME research at Haukeland University Hospital and talk about having received updates from the research, so I assume they mean the Daratumumab/ResetME study.

Fingers crossed that means it’s for the daratumumab study!

Does this person have a personal connection to ME/CFS? I’m curious as to why she would make a donation.

I think she has had ME, but don't know the details. She has given to the Haukeland ME research team for several years in a row, but I think this is the largest donation from her so far.

She had ME/CFS before, was diagnosed at 14. She says she just got lucky to recover after many years. She donates 10 % of the profits from her company, Careless, to ME/CFS research.
