Very interesting! Not a viewpoint I’d heard before. I’m currently in a bad mood from toxic wellness overload.

I’ve had two people from a local support group message me to try microdosing - when I enquired about their ME meet-ups. Group leader aware and replied to one of these scam sales pitches. I actually thought to myself “well I could take heroin and that would make me feel great but also ruin my life, that’s the thing with using illegal untested drugs” so this article was timely!

also had someone pushing yoga on me recently was told people with severe ME don’t use the internet as they’re unable to do so, so it’s fine to push yoga on mild and moderates.

I don’t know why I’d forgotten to avoid these kind of spaces because it’s just patient-led toxic wellness. Going to stay on this site and read up on biochemistry.

 

I took heroin once and it made me throw up for 8 hours. No pleasure at all, so never tried it again!

 

I had it in hospital it was lovely. Very moreish.

 

My mam kept seeing penguins following the staff about.

She asked the nurses how they'd manage if they were in a rush and the penguins got in the way.

 

I could hear smells and feel voices!

 

I was fine with morphine which I took (illegally) for agonising wisdom tooth pain which the official doctors wouldn't give me anything strong enough for.
