the research series based on the PACE trial has been removed.

However, reading through more of their blurb, under the What is the current definition of ME/CFS (definition taken from patient.info) it says
Important note

The Chrysalis Effect does not agree with the classification of these health issues as long term and chronic and as having no known cause. We are working to have these negative and unhelpful descriptions removed and updated to show recovery is possible.

also of concern is this

If this programme works, then why don't doctors know about it?

Well actually they do - at least some of them do. It is part of our mission to educate the medical community, which we have been doing over the past year. We have met with several doctors who are able to educate others. In the UK we have met with The Health Minister and head of services for "long term and chronic conditions" (which actually is their label not ours).

It’s a slow process, but we are working to get more awareness. Doctors generally treat all of the symptoms as separate issues so we are working on training them to the treat the conditions as a whole.

We are currently in the process of setting up GP Pilot schemes with a view to getting this funded by NHS UK.

Looks suspiciously like a pile of bovine digestive waste, but in a pretty box with a bow on it.

What many seem to not understand is;
How impossible meditation can be for those with some types of cognitive impairment and,
How little use flowers and tambourines are in real life day to day situations.

The Chrysalis Effect (also called 'Get your life back from ME') have been very concerning since they appeared in 2010. Originally created by Elaine Wilkins and Kelly Oldershaw, but now just Elaine Wilkins (Kelly Oldershaw is on record stating she is still sick, though not what she is sick with):

A few pwme tried hard (from 2010) to curb the Chrysalis Effect's extravagant claims and to warn new and desperate patients that the commercial program used hard sell tactics and relied on testimonials from people who may or may not have ME.

I wonder how one would approach a debate with the person behind this. The impression is that of a "pick your reality based on how the thought makes you feel" attitude towards problems, coupled with ignorance about ME/CFS.

sounds like a youtube ad. dangerous nonsense

One wonders what was the outcome of the meeting with a health minister. Whay wasthe "pitch"? Is it that easy to obtain such an audience?

Health minister doesn't necessarily mean the secretary of state for health. It could just as well have been a brief conversation with some junior minister over coffee at some event or other. Had it been the secretary of state, they'd probably have mentioned it.

The unnecessarily tautological head of long-term and chronic conditions probably receives nearly as many pitches every day as a writers' agent, with a comparable proportion of them written in green ink. I've no doubt they likewise keep a capacious round filing cabinet handy.

And pwME have had meetings with health ministers in many countries. Doesn't mean much. Remember the Canadian health minister pretending the government would take ME seriously 2 years ago? I certainly do. Doesn't mean anything. Hell you can have the director of the largest research institute in the world drop by and say words about doing more and it means nothing, at a conference literally titled, more or less, "doing more about this problem", and they still do nothing, even after it exploded, they just look the other way.

Ministers meet people all the time. Remember when the Norwegian prime minister apologized and said things and then nothing happened? Yeah, ministers meet people all the time and they barely remember having met them by month's end.

I think they've been saying that they've been 'working with the NHS' and 'setting up GP pilot schemes' for many years but nothing more substantial has emerged. When I read more about it a few years ago, my impression was that they've got a few random GPs who have expressed an interest but it's not necessarily any more than that (although they're certainly trying to make it sound more). However, Elaine does say on the website that she works as an 'NHS Trainer - coaching & mentoring for Health Professionals', what this role involves exactly I'm not sure. From what I can remember (it's been about 5 years since I looked into them) Elaine was previously a salesperson and has no medical qualifications other than in 'coaching'.

On their website Elaine talks about her own 'recovery' but her wording seems to suggest that she was never actually diagnosed with ME/CFS but self-diagnosed (to confirm this I think I'd have pay £7.99 to read her book which I'm not about to do).

I remember Elaine stood up at one of the after-show talks that Jen Brea did following Unrest and accused her of covering up the fact that it's possible to heal from ME. She was pretty angry about it and afterwards sent out an email to all their mailing list subscribers criticising Jen. Which reminds me, I'm still on their mailing list even though I've emailed them and asked to be removed so their GDPR is not great!

This is really a pyramid scheme to recruit practitioners to retain patients through a monthly payment scheme and sell training courses.

When they first started we were contacted by someone who knew Elaine Wilkins and Kelly Oldershaw and we were told that neither had ME and this was a ploy for income. Checks we made on them at the time revealed they met at “Mary Kay cosmetics” (who?) Research on Elaine Wilkins revealed various coaching positions, Kelly Oldershaw - “wealth management” and other various money making schemes so did seem viable they were hoping to make fast money from sick people. Feedback from Wilkins daughter called Kelly was found on their original website which has now been taken down as well as the defunct facebook page with fibromyalgia spelt incorrectly. Also Kelly Oldershaw’s work history didn’t make any sense.

Kelly Oldershaw
I looked successful from the outside and was empty on the inside. I was running my own company that was impacting a lot of people, I thought I was 'on purpose', making a big difference, using my gifts and talents and I had a vision of living an international lifestyle. Yet I was getting further and further away from my dreams, and after doing personal development for 10 years I was depressed, making myself ill, in debt and single - having never been in love or really had a relationship, and at 30 that is not good - something had to change - and fast!!
Along came William Whitecloud's 'The Magicians Way' and the rest they say is history! I embarked on the adventure to my heart and discovering who I really was outside of the illusion I was living. Once I was trained in the alchemical tools of living intuitively and accessing my truth and my genius - I turned my whole world upside down and Natural Success started becoming a new way of life for me.
I am now living in Cape Town, with my gorgeous South African soul mate Ed, and his adorable son. I drive around in a convertible taking in the most spectacular views in the world with mountains and oceans at every turn. I live in the most beautiful home, enjoying sunsets, dancing, tai chi, friends, and gorgeous sunshine. My ability to live my truth, and honour my body, mind and spirit each and every day is a profound gift.
I am blessed to work with the most powerful creators within Natural Success International and get to fly to the UK supporting the business which allows me to spend time with my family and friends. My family are changing their lives due to the impact these teachings has had as I supported them in creating structures that allowed my dad to recover from a life threatening illness, and start creating a whole new life for themselves at retirement age.
I get to experience the wilds of Africa on safari whilst supporting and taking my learnings of these profound teachings to another level of mastery. Im just finishing my first book that will launch this year.

Elaine Wilkins says in various places she had parasites and thyroid issues so no, she didn’t have ME.

Eyeroll “Staying ahead of Dr google” in other words they realise that their model is useless and patients don’t need an intermediary because we have forums to share free information, like this one! There is no need for patients to pay for “practitioners” to pay a third person, an unqualified third person for information they can find themselves.

And Elaine Wilkins selling the childhood adversity scam of Esther Crawley -
