There aren’t any answers, we are looking for them and will support you until we find them

My only thing is be careful of using “help us find them” or”support us” when you haven’t previously stated that its answers/effective treatments/ pwME, it doesn’t always make sense on its own.

I think that where these slogans are being used by Science For ME then that helps with the understanding of the meanings. Just imagine any of the phrases with @scienceforME underneath, or above

While I understand the concern and we should of course consider hijacking from the usual suspects, I think we also need to be careful we don’t spend too much time focusing on what they may do to the detriment of our own messaging or actions.

Edit! That said I just realised ‘appropriate support’ may be better than ‘support’ because well, we have all been offered support right! A bit like ‘effective treatments’ as opposed to ‘treatments’.

That’s the other way of looking at this, we’ve had a nice community brainstorm, got loads of great ideas, so now have things if or when we need them. Nice work all!
Appropriate support
Or
ME- specific support

I think are useful because even though it can seem nit picky, like “treatments” the average bystander could list all kinds that are available , and none of which are any use to us.

It’s not just the case of stopping the BPS crowd criticising (they’ll do that anyway) there’s the likes of BACME and the public and pwME who think the NHS are doing stuff that helps us, or that a mystical social services team will step in and help the bedbound, when in fact we know the reality is very different.
