Care Quality Commission - what are they doing re CBT/GET treatment for ME patients

The CQC only deals with services in England but from briefly looking at their website the only ME/CFS service they seem to have inspected is Leeds which currently has
an amber 'Requires Improvement' warning having been inspected in 2016.
The various checks on 'Specific Services' seem to only cover mental illness services.

I'm not au fait with FOIs but maybe one which asked the CQC what checks have been made in England on the services specifically for ME/CFS particularly with regards to figures for those receiving CBT/GET as per the NICE guidelines.

Other than Leeds, have any other inspections of other services for patients with ME/CFS either at 'specialist clinics' or through GPs been assessed?

Have any attempts been made to assess the efficacy of these treatments as part of primary care?
(I would have thought this would be something NICE should want to know as part of their guideline review(?))

I'm sure others will come up with other questions.

There has also been concern about an ME service that seems to have gone wildly off piste in Oxfordshire and Dorset, using a jumbled mix of NLP, LP, 'recovery focused' therapy and stuff of their own invention which has not been properly researched.

Discussed here:

And then there is the move from ME/CFS services to MUS services with who knows what mumbo jumbo on offer and no promise of expert diagnosis.

The CQC would like your feedback please

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) will soon be inspecting our service. CQC are the independent regulator of all health and care services in England.

As part of their inspection they want to know what you think about the care you have received from The M.E. Trust.

If you feel able to, please tell them about your experience online at: https://www.cqc.org.uk/provider/1-5075977224/services

Then select: Share your experience

or by telephoning 03000 616161.

(don't know a lot about the ME trust apart from CofM being a patron, and that they are a Christian group and include spiritual guidance as part of their treatment).

The Care Quality Commission (CGC) Is Being Duped by IAPT
21st August 2019
from CBTWatch
IAPT is camouflaging what most of its clients receive and has eskewed a focus on clinically relevant outcomes. But one of the domains that the CQC assesses services against is whether they are Outcomes-focused. The CQC needs to conduct an inquiry into IAPT.
The matter of informed consent is compounded further by IAPT by their failure to inform clients of what clinically relevant outcome he/she can expect. In particular what minimally important difference the client can expect and clearly see as meaningful. Changes on a psychometric test do not qualify as a clinically relevant outcome by contrast a client can clearly understand say an expectation to be back to their usual self.
