'A detailed programme of embedded qualitative and quantitative research to optimise recruitment to the feasibility RCT. It will also inform the design and conduct of any future RCT of non-operative treatment versus appendicectomy in the treatment of acute uncomplicated appendicitis in children.'

"non-operative treatment... ...of acute uncomplicated appendicitis in children.'"

If Crawley's track record is any guide, then Bristol is going to be facing lawsuits for avoidable peritonitis, and worse.

Just saw it posted by someone in IiME Research Facebook group and they replied..

"The establishment looks after its own as we have seen and no matter what crass, untruthful or hideously self-serving propaganda some people (and organisations) come out with they still continue to retain positions of influence.

Something to remember for those who are repeatedly giving second-chances to organisations and individuals who have let them down, and continue to let down all people with ME."

My husband went to Bristol and it was originally on the list of universities for my daughter. Maybe she'll still even apply, knock their socks off and be offered a place. Then I'll send them a letter explaining exactly why she will not be accepting it, listing all the times they let her and other children with ME down by turning a blind eye to bad science. I'll look forward to that day.

If she's exiting the CFS field, then surely this is a good thing?
She won't leave the field, she is going to her new role to grow the brand. She will use this job to do the governments bidding on declaring more children 'mentally ill', I dont think she has even left the CMRC, she's just got Edwards and the functional crowd on the inside, its all just a big game.

Wait which Edwards?

Anyone looked at her CFS clinics site recently?
Evidence Based Treatment
We believe that all clinical care should have an evidence base. We therefore only offer treatment that has been recommended by NICE. Professor Crawley leads a research team based at the University of Bristol which conducts research in to the causes and treatment of CFS/ME. This means that all the treatment offered by the clinical team is based on the most up-to-date research results.

That's weird, because the Lightning Process certainly isn't recommended by NICE!
