Those interviews from Croatia are brilliant, and very sad. The stories of the two interviewees deserve more publicity, I think. Thanks Mike, Ivan and J.

Race report for my last run in Croatia!

Contains patient interview links, Zagreb Marathon interview feature and the very kind shout that I got on Croatian TV.

£1300 raised on this one in just 3.5 weeks for Invest In ME. Thanks to all of you for that.

Next one is the last one. Rome on March 27th!

Mike, this is so wonderful. Really admire your tenacity and commitment to finishing the Euro marathons. Given all the restrictions it's even more admirable.

    Thank you very much indeed!

A big thankyou to @svetoslav80 for sharing his story and helping to raise awareness. I really hope we can find others there and establish a movement to lobby the government.

At the very least I'll try and get a Facebook support group going there if I can. Will see if its possible to replicate the one I built for Poland (400 members now and growing).

Please read and share if you're able to.

Very interesting interview as usual @Mike Harley.

Thank you @svetoslav80 for telling us how things are for you in Bulgaria. I expect you know as much about ME/CFS as anyone in Bulgaria.

Thank you Mike. The awareness work you have done in relation to your (already wonderful) running is fabulous.

Mike, I was thinking that the interviews could be made into a book. They are so moving. Perhaps a coffee table book juxtaposing a photo of a glorious view of the relevant city and something that shows how constrained life with ME/CFS is. Maybe with the story of your endeavour, and why you embarked on it, and why you kept going. I don't know, but someone here might have ideas and contacts.

I think, especially if the book was quite visual, it could be great advocacy tool. People could buy a copy with the purchase price also covering the sending of another copy to a WHO official, or national and European government officials, or whole classes of medical students, anyone that we think might learn from it.

Excellent interview. Thanks to both @Mike Harley and @svetoslav80

    Agree.

For some countries, they are also the only source of information about what life is like in that country. Valuable info.

    A wonderful idea @Hutan.
I hope when @Mike Harley has completed this epic physical and logistical challenge such opportunities may be contemplated.

Love to Mike & family thank you.

    Thanks all.

I will be writing up the experience into a book as I mentioned a while back. I'm not sure it'll be purposed as an ME Awareness book but as it is the main driver of the challenge, you can expect very heavy reference throughout to the situation in the European countries I've visited.

I'll do my best with it. It won't please everyone (I have been attacked by some ME patients even down the years) but I hope it will be a fitting summary of the last 7 years, the effort that's gone in and why ME Research needs proper funding.

I still need to find people with ME to tell me their story in Cyprus, Latvia and Estonia.

If you know of anyone do let me know!

I'd love to round off the challenge in March with a full set of EU interviews.

    Hi all

    Quick update from me.

I'm training for my last EU marathon in Rome, Italy on March 27th.

I'll be appearing in Runners World magazine and website in April and I'll be on their podcast in March which will hopefully go out to their 500,000 audience. A great opportunity to reach people outside of the ME community.

I'll also be back on BBC Radio Bristol at 12pm on Monday 21st March on the John Darvall show. Nearly 7 years and 25 marathons since my last time on there!

Up to £34,409 against my target of £42,195

Couple of big months, really hope I can finish on a high and get Invest In ME the money they need. Will aim to also get on TV (BBC, ITV) as well as a few local papers.

Cheers for all your support and sticking with me.

Fulfilled a small life ambition today getting featured in Runner's World magazine.

Looking forward to the podcast with them soon which has potential to reach 700,000 subscribers.

More media stuff to come, I'm going out in a blaze of glory!

Wow Mike that looks fantastic. Is that the April edition (looks like that but blurred down the bottom). Do you know if that edition is in the shops yet?

    Hi all

Just a week until I run in Rome and finish the challenge.

I'll be on BBC Radio Bristol at 12pm on Monday for 30 mins or so.

I'll post the link next week.

This is the very last time in 7 years that I'm asking for sponsorship. Really keen to get as close to target as possible so if you can share the link below with anyone who might be feeling generous that would be appreciated.
