    Hi all

I've pretty much decided on my remaining races now of the challenge:

    23. Budapest (Sept 2019)
    24. Bucharest (Oct 2019)
    25. Porto (Nov 2019)
    26. Hamburg (Apr 2020)
    27. Zagreb (Oct 2020)
    28. Florence (Nov 2020)
Final Race - London (Apr 2021)

I'm on £18K with a target to hit £26.2k for Invest In ME Research.

I'm very optimistic that I'll be able to get national media interest for the last race in London as well as features in Runners World. To my knowledge, no British runner has every completed the EU in races.

After 4 years I'm on the home straight, hopefully I can get over injuries and get it all done!

Thanks for your support so far!

    Hi all

I'm slowly getting over a very nasty hip injury which has meant that I haven't been able to run for 3 weeks.

Hoping to be OK for Budapest Marathon (no.23) next Sunday. I haven't managed to find out much about M.E in Hungary as of yet but will keep trying.

Meanwhile the race after this one is Bucharest Marathon (Oct 13th) and a family member of a severe M.E patient, Andreea, has kindly told me her story about life in Romania with the illness.

Would be great if you could share widely, I'd love to put her in touch with other patients there as no support group or association appears to exist yet.

Thanks for these interviews. It's interesting to hear from ME patients in other European countries.

This story from Romania is very sad though. I hope that Andreea and her family can get some support by connecting with the online ME-community.

For all the crap that happens to pwme in this country it's shocking to see how much worse it can be elsewhere.
Heal well Mike. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

    Hi all

I'm done for 2019 now, been to Cyprus, Slovakia, Latvia, Hungary, Romania and Portugal.

Here's my race report from last weekend in Porto.

£3.5K raised since late Sept, the support I've had has been amazing.

I'm taking a break from running and social media for a little while now, back soon.

    Hi all

    Newport Half went really well.

South Wales Argus (local paper) interviewed me briefly in on the start line and I raised £300 for Invest In ME.

Pretty good given it's only a half marathon and I didn't publicise it much.

I'm hoping that I can still fly out to Rome for marathon 25 on March 29th. Looks like the race will be on as it stands but Easyjet are slowly cancelling all Italian flights as people are scared to travel there due to Coronavirus.

    Fingers crossed.
