Achieving symptom relief in patients with ME by targeting the neuro-immune interface and inducing disease tolerance (2020) Rodriguez et al

The idea that something could be accomplished by stimulating the trigeminal nerve goes back to 1990s and Goldstein. No idea why they’re using buzzwords and saying incorrect things like

critical neuro-immune interface and mediator of the inflammatory reflex which regulate systemic inflammation

hypothesis that ME is a condition caused by a failure of inducing disease tolerance upon infection and persistent immune activation

There is no systemic inflammation in ME. No immune abnormalities reported in ME have ever withstood replication attempts. Steroids and NSAIDs do not work.
