The ME Show

Just listened. Thanks Gary, it was a good interview with Jen Brea and great to hear that song too. It was interesting to hear Jen with a longer interview allowing more to be discussed. It felt like a calm episode although very moving at times. I too found the part where she said that the loss and grief were too big to allow herself to feel resonated with my own experience.

Thank you for spending your precious energy making this podcast happen.

I'm so pleased to see this start up. I tried doing a podcast for a bit, but I couldn't keep up with it and it wasn't very well produced.

It's awesome to have a proper broadcaster put together a show like this. For those that are able to tolerate sound, I think it will mean a lot to have a voice out there that understands and talks directly to patients.

If you're ever looking for vox-pop style contributions. Keep me in mind, if I'm not busy/unwell I can record short clips at home.

@Gary Burgess you’ve made my day! What a real pleasure to listen to @JenB at such length and to hear from @Robert 1973 and listen to the song.

I felt connected to others and uplifted.

Great quality audio that I found nice to listen to and you have excellent interview skill.

I loved this. Really looking forward to the next episode with Dr Charles Shepherd.

Thank you.

Hope you’re doing OK and looking after yourself.

A truly fascinating interview (I thought) with Dr Charles Shepherd about his own diagnosis, how ME has become his life's work, the Biobank, the state of research and the politics of it all.

Great episode, Gary. Interesting listening to Shepherds own firsthand experiences with the disease in the 70’s. Can only speak for myself, but guess many of us could tell exactly the same story now 40 years later.. Shepherd is really a great capacity knowing the disease and medicine from the inside. Also very uplifting hearing a little more about the bio bank.
