Well that could be positive although presumably some journalists will have kept copies. Also maybe they still add similar information as background notes to press releases.

    Uh, that's surprising.

Is it worth prodding into the reason for that? Or would that invite the eye of Sauron and best left untouched?

To preserve it for posterity? It's small enough, I added it here.

Hindsight will be particularly brutal about the whole "controversy", which in fact is and always was simply the sabotage of deniers whose interests were the polar opposite of patients' needs and demands. Strong echoes of the first few press conferences over AIDS and the White House folks cracking jokes and dismissing it all unimportant.

As will the Reuters report. Man that will be a big own goal.

"oops, something not very scientific happened"
This made me laugh. Probably the most honest thing they have published... ;)

Does that mean that the "fact sheets" are now internal only? By that I mean they go from head office (the SMC) to the foot soldiers in Fleet Street and the BBC departments.

Fiona Fox is giving a 'public lecture' on 30th March 2020 in Bristol, on 'Science in the headlines and why scientists should engage with the media':

    What "is" "science"?

Apart from being a word. We can probably all agree on that.

Comrades, what if I told you that filthy bourgeois media will reliably report your propaganda for you, because they are too lazy to change it and truth is irrelevant to their engagement metrics?
